Plane makes 999 landing

A PLANE heading to Iceland was forced to make an emergency landing in Glasgow yesterday after a passenger took ill on board.

After the Manchester-toReykjavik flight touched down, staff went to the jet to assist. The passenger’s condition is not known. MEDICS will tell you that the last thing you should do after taking a bath in ice-cold water is hug a huge block of frozen water – but that’s exactly what this hardy soul did.

The loin-clothed character and hundreds of others were taking part in a ceremony to purify souls and wish for good health in the new year at the Teppozu Inari shrine in Tokyo, Japan.
