ROGER FEDERER rattled the ball over the net scarcely believing Andy Murray was there to return it.

Despite suffering from chronic hip pain, the Scot was still determined to put on a show for the Glasgow fans.

Now, 14 months on from that charity match, the Swiss superstar is praying Murray can soldier on to bid farewell in front of the Wimbledon crowd.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion wore a kilt for the “Andy Murray Live” exhibition match in November 2017 while his opponent donned a Tam o’ Shanter or “See you Jimmy” hat.

But the frolics in Murray’s first public appearance since limping out of Wimbledon that summer masked the serious extent of his injury.

Two months later he was forced to undergo hip surgery in Melbourne with only 12 matches then managed in 2018.

Back Down Under, Murray last week announced his imminent retirement
