TIMELINE
APRIL 2 Alex Salmond informs Nicola Sturgeon that he is being investigated by the Scottish Government during a face-to-face meeting at the First Minister’s house in Glasgow. Sturgeon’s chief of staff Liz Lloyd – a Government employee – is present. The meeting had been set up after an intermediary for Salmond requested it through Lloyd.
APRIL 23 Salmond tells Sturgeon he is on the brink of taking legal action against her Government in a phone call.
JUNE 6 Sturgeon writes to Permanent Secretary Leslie Evans to tell her she is aware of the sexual harassment investigation and has discussed it with Salmond. She also informs Evans about the imminent legal action.
JUNE 7 Salmond and Sturgeon meet face to face on the eve of the SNP conference in Aberdeen.
JULY 14 A third meeting takes place, in Sturgeon’s Glasgow home.
JULY 18 A final call takes place between Sturgeon and Salmond.
