Colombian striker available again after serving the final game of his suspension against Accies.

Morelos has been sent off in each of his three appearances against Aberdeen this season and all eyes will be on the striker again.

Weir said: “When the players cross the white line they must take responsibility. They need to learn from previous games and in terms of Alfredo he has incidences where he’s got involved.

“We all get emotionally involved and react but if you are continuously doing the same thing then there’s a problem.

“We’ve all had it where the red mist comes down. When you look back in the cold light of day you think, ‘I shouldn’t have done that’.

“There has to be emotion and passion involved. There’s a fine line between getting a red card and being successful. The best players play on the edge but hopefully Alfredo, who is still a young man, will learn how to use that passion in the right way rather than missing football games.

“Missing games is the biggest punishment and he has missed a lot of games already.”

Rangers players were riled by photos of Aberdeen’s Betfred Cup semi-final win on the walls of Pittodrie as they walked to the dressing room before their 4-2 win this month.

The Dons were then angered by the away side’s post-match celebrations after the game and Weir said: “It’s clever of Rangers to seize whatever they can to try and utilise that.

“And I’m sure Derek will be using whatever he can, whether it’s the post-match celebrations or whatever, because it’s a massive part of the game.

“You’ve got to use whatever you can to motivate yourself. If Aberdeen gave the Rangers players motivation then the Rangers players have to seize on that and use that to their advantage.

“The best motivation undoubtedly is self motivation but if you can add that extra 20 per cent that can be the difference in games that are tight and well-balanced teams who know each other well.”

Premier Sports will screen live and exclusive coverage of Hibs v Celtic on Saturday and Aberdeen v Rangers on Sunday in the Scottish Cup and will also screen Real Madrid v Barcelona on Saturday night.
