DONALD Trump’s former lawyer and fixer has launched a blistering attack on the US president, calling him a racist, a con man and a cheat before the Senate.
Michael Cohen branded the president an unpatriotic scammer whom he regretted ever working for.
“I am ashamed because I know what Mr Trump is. He is a racist. He is a conman. He is a cheat,” the former attorney said.
He spoke as Trump yesterday met with his “friend”, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un for their second summit in Hanoi, Vietnam, to discuss the denuclearisation of the rogue state.
During a day of testimony before the House Oversight and Reform committee, Cohen delivered bombshell claims about Trump. They included how: ●The president knew in advance WikiLeaks planned to publish hacked Democratic emails damning to his rival Hillary Clinton. ●The US leader paid him with personal cheques to fund the silence of his alleged porn star mistress Stormy Daniels.
Trump regularly used racist language, saying black people were “too stupid” to vote for him.
The president knew of a meeting between his son and a Russian operative before the election. ●The businessman lied about his true wealth to secure multi-million dollar loans. ●Trump made Cohen write to his former schools, threatening legal action if they ever revealed his test scores.
Cohen, due to surrender to prison in May to serve three years after pleading guilty to tax fraud, false statements to a bank and campaign finance violations tied to his work for Trump, laid bare the claims about his 10 years working for the US leader.
