Designer vagina mum’s £5k bogus card spree

Op scam woman in splurge on party and car

- BY DAVID MEIKLE

A WOMAN who scammed a £7000 designer vagina op has admitted going on a £5000 spending spree with bogus credit cards.

Stephanie Watson, 28, booked an engagement party at a venue owned by ex-Celtic star Harry Hood and paid for the hall and other party accessories. She also bought a new engine and paid for repairs for her BMW, which has a registration plate spelling out “B ***h”, for £4620.

Bosses at the Castle Rooms in Uddingston, near Glasgow, became worried when Watson booked her engagement party with a DJ and luxury upgrades in June 2017.

But before the party went ahead, payments of £745.50 were withdrawn by card firms. Payments were also halted for the car repair work.

Watson, of Blantyre, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted two charges of pretending she was a card owner in a fraud totalling £5365.50 from April to September 2017.

The mum of two was ordered to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work by Sheriff Daniel Kelly, who also ordered her to pay back every penny she took.

He warned her: “You are very much facing a custodial sentence.” But he took into account the fact Watson had never served a sentence and she has two young children.

Watson’s not guilty pleas that she used a card to pay a £530 garage bill in Coatbridge and order a wedding cake from a shop in Uddingston were accepted.

Last week, she appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, where she admitted paying for a vagina op with credit cards belonging to two women and a man.

Bosses at the Edinburgh Clinic later tracked down Watson, who had booked in under a different name, on Facebook following an anonymous tip-off.

Sheriff Adrian Cottam told her he will “consider all options” when he sentences her next month.
