£276 ain’t much ‘fun’

THE average adult has £276 of disposable income to spend each month.

A study of 2000 people revealed what they had left after paying out for rent or mortgage, bills and food.

They admitted spending £133 of their “fun” money on socialisin­g and eating out. Research found that 45 per cent often had months with no disposable income.

Asesh Sarkar, of Salary Finance, said: “For many, there is not enough money to go around.”

Home Secretary Sajid Javid has revoked her British citizenshi­p after she revealed she wanted to return to the UK.

Her family has vowed to challenge the decision.

He added: “I know (Shamima) is not a danger to anyone whatsoever – but she made a mistake and will have to live with the consequenc­es.

“She never really did anything besides being a wife.

“She was a good Islamic wife. She stayed in the house, took care of me, of my child.

“I very much regret what I did, that I lived a very miserable life in Islamic State and want to better myself and hopefully one day return to life as it was once, create a family.”

When asked what this meant for Begum, who he last saw around six weeks ago, he replied: “Wherever she goes, I’m going to go. If my country wants me, I either take my wife or I stay with her.”

He said he saw nothing wrong with marrying then schoolgirl Begum when she arrived in Syria aged just 15.

He said the marriage was “her choice” after they met at a women’s centre in Raqqa.

He said: “She was very young and it might have been better for her to wait a bit. But she didn’t, she chose to get married.”
