Rennie hopes for climb in Euro vote polls
LIB Dem leader Willie Rennie knows he has a mountain to climb in next week’s European Parliament elections.
The MSP showed off his skills in Edinburgh yesterday as he launched the party’s clear anti-Brexit manifesto. But polls suggest he will struggle to get anyone elected on the six available places for Scottish MEPs on May 23.
He said: “We want Scotland as part of a Britain that remains at the heart of a dynamic European Union. The manifesto sets out how we will work with strong liberal allies across the EU for our economy, our public services and for our safety.”
