BY KEITH McLEOD LAWYERS acting for the victims of the coach abuse scandal are convinced a paedophile ring was operating between the north of England and Glasgow in the 80s.

It comes after Jim McCafferty became the fourth man with connection­s to Celtic Boys’ Club to be jailed for abusing children.

Former boys’ club manager Frank Cairney, 83, was jailed earlier this year for a 20-year long campaign of abuse while ex-chairman Gerrard King was convicted of carrying out assaults against children. Jim Torbett, 71, was jailed for six years last year.
