Police get it wrong in manhunt
ARMED police in London stormed in to arrest a missing fugitive on behalf of Scots police – and got the wrong man.
Officers from the Met said they had “traced a man wanted by police in Glasgow” to an address in east London. But after questioning him, it emerged he was innocent.
It had been suggested the target for the arrest was Jordan Owen, 24, who is wanted over the fatal shooting of Jamie Lee, 22, in Castlemilk, Glasgow, in July 2017.
But the link to Owen was being played down last night by police sources.
