Elliott gets Elvis ticket

CARLISLE have beaten Livingston to the signing of Christie Elliott.

The Partick Thistle defender had an offer from the Lions but has decided to join Steven Pressley’s League Two outfit on a one-year deal with an option for a further 12 months.

The Jags had offered to make the 27-year-old their highest-paid player but it wasn’t enough.

Elvis said: “He’s a modern-day full back. He’s a good coup for the club.”
