FIRST GERS GAME IN 6 MONTHS FOR COLLUM

-

WILLIE COLLUM will referee his first Rangers game for more than six months on the Premiership’s final day.

The whistler will be in charge when Steven Gerrard’s side take on Steve Clarke’s Europa League-chasing Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Collum hasn’t refereed Rangers since bizarrely sending off Daniel Candeias against St Mirren on November 3.

It was a decision that sparked a furious reaction from the Ibrox side who issued a statement alleging there were “underlying issues” with the ref ’s performance. Sunday will be just his third match involving Rangers this season, with Celtic’s Old Firm win in September his first.

In the last campaign there was never more than a run of three top-flight fixtures throughout the entire campaign where Collum and Rangers weren’t paired. Now he will meet the club he angered again when Killie bid to qualify for Europe by finishing third in the league.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Craig Thomson takes charge of Celtic’s trophy day against Hearts while Euan Anderson is the man in the middle for Hibs v Aberdeen.
