Star wars sequel as Lewbacca trolls Noel
Capaldi gets last laugh in spat with Oasis man
LEWIS Capaldi has hit back at Noel Gallagher after the Oasis legend branded him “f ****** Chewbacca” and dubbed Scotland a “third world country”. The Bathgate singer issued a hilarious response by changing his Twitter profile picture to have him mocked up as the hairy Star Wars character. Lewis also changed his name to Chewis Capaldi on the social media site. Noel’s feud with the 22-year-old began last month when he called the singer an “idiot” during a Radio X interview.
The Scot told Instagram followers he’d “peaked”, joking: “Noel Gallagher has just slagged me off. It’s Father’s Day, I’m being slagged off by a man who is old enough to be my Da’ and I’ve never been more happy.”
Lewis followed up with an iconic Glastonbury entrance, strolling on stage dressed as Gallagher and stripping down to reveal a T-shirt with his face in a loveheart.
While Lewis has tried to see the funny side, Noel has become increasingly bitter and unfunny.
In a new interview with Variety he not only slags off the youngster – whose debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent is this year’s biggest seller in the UK – but also the country which launched his own career.
Noel said: “He’s just thinking, “Wow.” Well, I know you’re Scottish and all that, but f ****** hell. It is like a third world country, but for f***’s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely.”
Noel seems to forget he’s married to a Scot – publicist Sara MacDonald, 47, and Oasis were discovered in Glasgow at King Tut’s.
