-

GLASGOW had a low happiness score in the Bank of Scotland survey – but in another study it’s been rated as a good place to work. The city ranked third in the UK-wide poll for workers who feel happy every day – behind only Brighton and Swansea.

Edinburgh was in seventh place on 62.5 per cent.

Bottom of the list was Nottingham at 40 per cent.

According to the data, 63.5 per cent of Scots enjoy their job, with this figure rising to 73.5 per cent for professionals in Glasgow.

Lee Biggins, founder and CEO of CV-Library, said: “I’m not surprised to see Glasgow near the top of this list.

“Not only is it home to some fantastic employment opportunities, average pay in the city is a lot higher than other locations and living costs tend to be low too.”
