The American sitcom actor, who died in 1989, was the pioneering star of the I Love Lucy series in the 50s. The statue of her in her home town of Celoron, New York, not only looked nothing like her, it terrified children so much that it was dubbed “scary Lucy”. It was, thankfully, replaced with a better one in 2016.
