We cannot wake up from this nightmare

Agony of Robyn’s family

- BY LAURA PATERSON

THE family of a girl of 15 killed in an alleged hitand-run have said they “feel as though we are in a nightmare that we cannot wake up from”.

Robyn Fryar was hit by a car while out with friends in Paisley at about 2am on Sunday.

Her family said their pain was too much to bear, and there were “no words to describe our loss, and the horrific, and meaningless act which caused her death”.

They added: “Robyn was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and a loyal friend. She lived life with love and laughter in her heart. Her family and friends feel as though we are in a nightmare that we cannot wake up from.”

Shaun Gatti and David Kinnon, both 20, have appeared in court charged with causing Robyn’s death by dangerous driving, and are on bail. Gatti is also charged with two more traffic offences and trying to pervert justice.
