Bjorkman tips Murray to soar

-

JONAS BJORKMAN believes Andy Murray will challenge the world’s top five when he makes his return to the singles court.

The Scot has refused to put a date on a possible comeback to singles competition.

Murray won the men’s doubles at Queen’s with Feliciano Lopez and made the second round at Wimbledon with Pierre-Hugues Herbert. And in the mixed doubles he reached the third round with Serena Williams.

Swede Bjorkman, the former world No.4 who coached Murray in 2015, said: “Andy can get back to the top-10 level. There is no doubt. With the calibre of player he is, if he is healthy, he is going to challenge the top five.

“Once a champion you are always a champion. He has had a problem with his hip for a long time but he can come back to that level and maybe play even better.”
