EUROPA LEAGUE

SCOTS IN THE MONEY

-

RANGERS, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock must negotiate four qualifying rounds to reach the Europa League group stage but the financial reward is worth it. If each of the three Scots clubs qualify they’ll be rewarded with around £3.32million in prize money with cash earned from every round included. It’ll rise even higher as clubs pocket further funds from UEFA’s co-efficient share which stands at £75.52m in total for the Europa League this term. And that’s before TV and gate receipts are taken into account. First Qualifying Round – £215,793. Second Qualifying Round – £233,776. Third Qualifying Round – £251,759. Play Off Round – £269,742 (only for eliminated teams). Reaching Group Stage – £2.62m.
