CRAIG SIBBALD is convinced old club Falkirk can copy Livingston’s resurgence and seal a return to the Premiership.

Sibbald was devastated to see his boyhood heroes drop into League One.

And as he prepares to face them for the first time since leaving for Livi last summer, Sibbald said: “It was tough to see Falkirk struggling and it wasn’t nice to see them going down.

“Livingston is an example. We managed back-to-back promotions, who is to say Falkirk can’t do the same?

“I hope they can do it – but I hope they don’t get the win on Saturday.”

Falkirk boss Ray McKinnon has been reunited with Lewis Toshney for a third spell after snapping up the freed Dundee United defender, and former Motherwell youngster Robbie Leitch.

Regan Hendry is convinced Raith will give him the best chance to kick-start his career after leaving Celtic this summer.

Ahead of today’s visit by Dundee, Hendry said: “I’ve a good chance of playing 90 minutes every week.”

Raith miss keeper David McGurn who is on holiday and Dundee have a doubt over Callum Moore.

Thomas O’Ware is back after nearly 11 months out as Partick Thistle take on Airdrie at Firhill.

Jags No.2 Brian Kerr said: ROUND-UP “Ian Murray will have them well organised so we must be at the top of our game.”

Murray misses injured duo Reece Willison and Kyle MacDonald and said: “This will be a good indication of where we are – we’ve signed a whole host of players.”

Cowdenbeath gaffer Gary Bollan reckons visitors East Fife have assembled a strong side.

Bollan, with a fully-fit squad, said: “It’s great to start with a Fife derby – and it would be terrific to start with a win.”

Fifers boss Darren Young has Aaron Dunsmore out through suspension and Kyle Bell injured.

Brechin have Dougie Hill suspended and Olly Hamilton a doubt as they head to Forfar, who have a doubt over Mark Docherty.

Arbroath have Scott Stewart and Luke Donnelly injured for the visit by Elgin, missing Brian Cameron.

Peterhead have Gary Fraser suspended as they host their former Highland League rivals as a senior club for the first time, with Cove missing Alan Redford and Grant Campbell.

Annan face Dumbarton minus KO’d Tommy Muir but Sons have Isaac Layne, Rory Loy and Connor Scullion all injured.

Berwick miss Lewis Barr for the visit of Ayr who are still without Jamie Adams and Craig Moore.

And Albion Rovers have a full-strength side for the trip to East Kilbride, who lost Craig Howie to Clyde.
