Ban all guns, Madonna tells Trump

BY ROSS KANIUK MADONNA has called for guns to be banned in America and slammed Donald Trump for being more interested in border control.

The 60-year-old said: “I would like guns to be illegal in America and I feel very strongly about that. What’s happening right now in America is just crazy.

“We have a president consumed with building a wall between America and Mexico but he doesn’t seem to be concerned about how easy it is to buy a gun at a Walmart.

“An automatic weapon can be purchased in three days, if you are 18 and have a driver’s licence and no criminal record. That’s really scary.

Isla Keatings’s loved ones battled in vain to secure life-saving surgery for the 62-year-old, only to learn later that she had been completely misdiagnos­ed.

The former nurse has multiple sclerosis which has caused a form of dementia that leaves her unable to speak. She relies on her family to fight for her.

Her son Martin said: “My family has been under absolute agony, fighting to get treatment for my mum for a condition she didn’t even have.

“Mum has been robbed of six months at home with her family. My father has been robbed of six months with his wife. With a condition as serious as MS, this is a precious time.

“We have been put through utter hell, and are seeking legal advice so no other family ever has to go through this again.”

Isla, of Dunfermlin­e, was diagnosed with bladder cancer last November.

Her family, including husband Jim, 64, wanted surgery to remove the “tumour”, but doctors at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy repeatedly said she was too weak.

Martin asked for a CT scan and a cystograph­y – a procedure to visualise the bladder – in a bid to prove surgery was necessary and his mum was fit to have it.

He said: “We were arguing all the time for the surgery. We knew it could have been done but with the anaestheti­c there was an increased risk.
