Actor axed after awards row
EMMERDALE has been thrown into chaos after bosses sacked star asan N’Jie for threatening to stab Hollyoaks actor Jamie lomas.
The pair clashed at the TV Choice Awards on Monday night with N’Jie yelling: “I’m going to f***ing kill you. I’m going to f***ing knife you.”
Yesterday, he was called in by Emmerdale bosses and asked to explain his action, but was sacked at the end of the meeting.
N’Jie said in a statement that he wanted “to learn” from his actions.
He said: “My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
“I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards. I am devastated, accept full

responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.”
The actor was snapped looking stony-faced yesterday as he left the studios after losing his job.
ITV said N’Jie’s contract had been terminated with immediate effect.
The decision to sack N’Jie left Emmerdale bosses in chaos yesterday.
They have already filmed episodes for the next six weeks and N’Jie features in scenes in Friday’s episode and others going forward.
They will struggle to cut these scenes completely from the soap and on top of that, have to find a way to write him out or replace him at short notice.
