Swinney under pressure

-

EDUCATION Secretary John Swinney has been forced into giving up on his plans to give every child in Scotland a “named person”. This follows on from him dropping the flagship education bill last year and must put pressure on him to consider his position.

His dogmatic stance on tests for children aged five and six, which has met with ambiguity from parents, teachers and other political parties, is hanging by a thread and could be the final nail in his coffin.

The SNP’s belief that they can do no wrong will be their downfall.
