Stirling and Jordan now off and running

-

JORDAN McGREGOR had to watch Stirling Albion’s slump knowing there was nothing he could do to stop it.

So having capped his climb off rock bottom on the same day Binos did, the defender has no interest in a return.

The 22-year-old suffered a tear to his knee ligament in their final Betfred Cup game before the league began.

Only last Saturday, almost eight weeks on, did he run back out as Kevin Rutkiewicz’s side grabbed a first league win against Elgin to leapfrog Brechin at the foot of the table.

An Annan side humbled 4-0 by Edinburgh last week await today and McGregor said: “For the first week or so it was a proper struggle to walk and there was not much I could really do.

“I’m thoroughly enjoying it now that I’m back because I do get really doom and gloom about it when I’m out injured because there is nothing worse.”

Galabankies striker Tommy Muir believes his side will make sure their Ainslie Park disaster does not define their fortunes.

He said: “It is a long season, you’re going to have performances like we had on Saturday and it is all about how we react.”
