How is the Doc and Louise’s relationship?

In previous series they were going to get married and neither showed up. Louise went to Spain and came back pregnant, then they went to couples therapy. So how is the state of their union in this series: CAROLINE CATZ: “Very healthy.” MARTIN: “Yeah, we’ve explored the ‘them not getting on’ thing quite elaborately. Thoroughly.” CAROLINE: “They have James, which has altered the way they are together. They are really trying so hard to be happy together.”
