Barrymore gets skates on for ITV
BY LUCY MAPSTONE MICHAEL Barrymore put his skates on for his TV comeback in the new series of Dancing On Ice.
The 67-year-old entertainer joined Love Island’s Maura Higgins in being the first confirmed for the series, which will air early next year and will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Appearing via video message on ITV’s This Morning, Barrymore said: “I’m looking forward to meeting Holly and Phil. It’s performance time.”
In 2001, the body of Stuart Lubbock was found at the TV presenter’s home.
Six years later, Barrymore was arrested in connection with the death and was released without charge.
In 2002, an open verdict was recorded at the inquest into Lubbock’s death. 2.
