Dad heard of house crash on Twitter

-

BY JAMES MONCUR A MAN only discovered a tractor had smashed into his home when he saw his house in photos of the accident on social media.

Mark Aird was at work when he found out the tractor and trailer had ended up lodged upside down in his basement garden.

Pictures in yesterday’s Daily Record showed how the farm vehicle came to rest on gas pipes and it took engineers four hours to make the accident site safe.

The driver managed to climb from the wreckage on the Largo Road to Lundin Links, in Fife, on Monday morning. Mark said: “I couldn’t believe it. It’s a miracle no one’s been killed.

“My wife and son had left through that front door less than five minutes before. It’s frightening to think what could have happened.” 4.
