I don’t know Prag-matic approach is best plan

SLAVIA PRAGUE v HIBS

-

HIBS head coach Grant Scott admits he’s torn on what approach to take away to Slavia Prague in their last-32 Champions League tie tonight.

His side were thrashed 4-1 at Easter Road a fortnight ago – with three of the goals coming in a disastrous six-minute spell late on in the first half.

Up until that point Hibs had been leading 1-0 and looking comfortable.

Scott said: “I don’t think we can just launch ourselves at them, although there is a part of me which thinks we’re as well losing 10-1 on aggregate as 5-1.

“But while it’s tempting just to have a go, we’ve got to be more measured.

“We did enough in the first game to show we can compete so the challenge to the players is to win the second leg.

“If we win it 1-0 we’re out of the competition – but it’s still a good scalp for us.”
