Barry’s boys have title Heart
KELTY HEARTS showed their title mettle by beating champions East Kilbride on their own patch to stay top.
Nathan Austin’s early strike was enough to seal a 1-0 win, with Kilby’s Craig Reid seeing red before the break.
Kelty boss Barry Ferguson said: “East Kilbride were really difficult to break down when they went down to 10 men but we controlled the game well enough.
“We’ve had a few difficult away games in a row and we’ve come through them with wins so I’m happy.”
Bonnyrigg Rose stay just two points behind Kelty after Dean Brett’s double helped them rout Stirling Uni 5-1.
Scott and Ross Gray also found the net with the fifth coming from Alex Webb’s OG.
Despite missing a penalty East Stirling earned a 3-1 win over Cumbernauld Colts.
Jamie Dishington grabbed a double with Sean Brown adding a header.
Gala Fairydean Rovers fought back with 10 men to beat Edinburgh Uni 3-2.
Goals from Mark Waters and Abdul Yussuf had given the students the lead after Nial Kelly’s early opener.
Despite having Levi Kinchant red-carded, Gala claimed the win with Ross Aitchison and Ryan Mayer finding the net.
Civil Service Strollers staged a comeback from two down at half-time against Vale of Leithen to win 4-2 with Josh Morris, Andrew Mair, Cammy Muirhead and Jack Hodge on target.

An injury-time Raffi Krissian header earned Caledonian Braves a 2-2 draw with Berwick Rangers. And a late Cameron Dawson strike won it for Spartans against Dalbeattie Star. Aaron Murrell also netted in the 2-1 victory.
