FILIP HELANDER Easiest goal Swede will ever score as he ran off his marker. Defensively solid although untroubled. Now looks to be established part of back four.
CONNOR GOLDSON Two early slips but recovered to enjoy a comfortable day as even the presence of Uche Ikpeazu failed to bring Jambos any joy. BORNA BARISIC Solid performance on the left and his corner led to the opening goal. Croat is high on confidence as displayed by second-half flicks and tricks. RYAN JACK Neat and tidy in middle. Jack is full of self-belief and must have impressed the watching Steve Clarke ahead of the closing Euro 2020 double-header.
GLEN KAMARA Quiet afternoon for the Finn but his presence was enough to stabilise the side.
STEVEN DAVIS Midfield master back in for the big occasion and always looking to get on the ball although it was congested in the middle. Scholes-type effort from corner led to second flag kick for opener.
SHEYI OJO Couple of strong early runs at the Hearts defence and continued to probe up until being subbed in the 80th minute. End product too often missing.
RYAN KENT Winger came back in for Scott Arfield and looked his old self. Unlucky to see a first-half turn and shot hit the post and involved in build-up for second goal before turning on the afterburners to set up the third. Replaced after 65 minutes with the game won.
ALFREDO MORELOS Man of the match. Turned provider with a neat ball for Helander’s opener. Another assist for the Colombian who then showed his class by ghosting into six-yard box to turn home second and third. Denied hat-trick by offside flag.
SUBS JOE ARIBO On for last 25 minutes to give Kent a rest and had injury-time flick cleared off the line. SCOTT ARFIELD Replaced Jack in midfield with just under 15 minutes to go when the game was won. JERMAIN DEFOE 4 On for last 10 minutes in place of Ojo. Unused: Foderingham, Flanagan, Katic, Barker.
