CHILLED CHRISTOPHER KEEPS HIS COOL

-

CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN reckons braving the big freeze is helping him handle the heat of the Premiership title race.

The Celtic defender is feeling chilled out over the festive period as he pops into a cryochamber between games in a bid to fend off injuries.

Jullien insists he can cope with whatever the Scottish winter can throw at him after withstanding temperatures of minus 140 degrees. The £7million centre back said: “Cryotherapy helps me recover. I started to do it in France when I was at Toulouse.

“One of my good friends had it and we started to examine how it works.

“He showed me that it would help my body recover and prepare for the next game.

“We have so many matches and you have to make every effort to recover.

“The temperature goes to minus 140 if you need it to be really strong.

“Is Scotland not cold enough? It is and that is why I always say to the owner to text me when I am due to go in.

“Sometimes it is freezing outside and it can be hard to go out but when he texts, I go.

“I brought a few of the guys this week. Odsonne Edouard, Boli Bolingoli and Oli Ntcham all came for the first time.”

Jullien admits he’ll need to keep his cool against in-form Aberdeen hitman Sam Cosgrove at Celtic Park today.

He said: “I’ve watched a lot of videos of him and he’s very powerful. In the first match we were four up early and the game was dead for them.

“So he wasn’t the same but it will be different this time.

“He brings the power Aberdeen need and he has been very good for them. We must be ready.”
