I’ll unleash my Fury on Wilder in Sin City scrap

- BY CHRIS McKENNA

TYSON FURY vowed to knock out Deontay Wilder in Sin City after their blockbuster rematch was officially confirmed.

The British heavyweight will face the WBC champion at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on February 22.

Fury was fuming after their Los Angeles clash just over a year ago was judged a draw despite getting back up from two knockdowns.

He said: “Watch me knock out Deontay Wilder – also known as the Big Dosser. There’s no more ducking and diving.

“The date has been set. The ‘Bomb Squad’ is about to be securely detonated and the real champion crowned as the world watches on for the most anticipated fight in years.

“This is unfinished business for me but come February 22, this dosser will finally get what’s coming to him. And I can’t wait.”

Wilder thought he’d won their epic when he put Fury down in the 12th round but he beat the count.

The American said: “After February 22 there will be no more unanswered questions. I will finish what I started and this time Tyson Fury will not be getting up off the canvas so quickly.

“I have proven myself time and time again and I will do it again in February.”

The scrap is expected to be broadcast on BT Sport Box Office here. In the USA it will be just the third fight in history to be split across two pay-per-view channels.

Fox PPV and ESPN PPV will share the rights, similar to Floyd Mayweather’s bout with Manny Pacquiao and Lennox Lewis’ fight with Mike Tyson, which HBO and Showtime broadcast.

It is understood there is an agreement in place for a third meeting later in 2020 between the pair.
