Watch Scots tackling the Auld Enemy

-

RUGBY fans are gearing up for what promises to be a tough Women’s Six Nations battle on Sunday, February 9, as Scotland take on England in the second round of the tournament.

Scotland Women are back at Scotstoun, Glasgow, for two matches this season, with the first against England kicking off at 12.10pm. It’s set to be an edge-of-your-seat match as Scotland Women are riding high after their victory over Spain.

On Sunday, January 19, the Scotland Women enjoyed a staggering six-try win over the Spanish in Almeria, with a triumphant score of 12-36.

And 2020 is crucial for Scotland Women as the team seeks to qualify for the World Cup 2021. But for now, it’s time to take on England before their third Six Nations match against France on Saturday, March 7, at Scotstoun.

A strong focus and a new training plan is proving a success for Scotland Women, with new head coach Philip Doyle, former coach of the Ireland Women’s team, at the helm and with a drive to get the Scottish team to next year’s World Cup.

Speaking about his plans for Scotland Women, Philip said: “I am confident that, with some hard work, we will have sufficient time to develop further in working towards our objective of reaching the World Cup in 2021.”

And with a historic winning tour to South Africa and two home autumn tests already under its belt, the Scotland squad is now building up to September’s qualification tournament for the 2021 Rugby World Cup.

You can watch all the exciting action as they take on England, with tickets costing £15 for adults, £5 for under-18s and kids under 12 can get in for only £1 if accompanied by a paying adult.
