It’s Ollie too much to take

Drunken Linda puts young son in danger then her mother-in-law suggests rehab

-

Linda has embarrassed herself a lot recently and she faces even more humiliation this week. Will she be ready to admit that her drinking is to blame, or will she somehow find a way to claim it’s all someone else’s fault?

It seems she’s going for the latter option when she discovers Mick has cancelled her card, although Sharon does her best to calm her down. Then it’s Chantelle’s turn to bear the brunt of Linda’s anger when she tries to take charge because the landlady is in no fit state to look after Ollie.

Chantelle leaves, but it’s clear she was right to be concerned as Linda then falls asleep, leaving her young son unsupervised and in danger.

In the wake of the incident, Shirley recommends an addiction-support session. But her mother-in-law’s involvement fuels Linda’s drunken paranoia that Mick is plotting against her.

Elsewhere, Whitney feels to blame for Kush’s current plight and decides to take matters into her own hands. However, it isn’t long before the stress of the situation starts taking its toll on her. Denise returns from Scotland, ready to make amends with Sheree, but it’s Patrick’s turn to suspect his wife is hiding something. Bernadette also wonders if she’s being kept in the dark when she notices that Karen doesn’t seem all that concerned about ‘missing’ Keanu’s fate.

Iqra invites herself along to Suki’s birthday meal, which goes better than the Panesars were expecting – at first.

Daniel enjoys winding Rainie and Suart up about his funeral plans, but it seem a lot less funny when he learns he only has weeks left to live.
