Family’s high five to Village lifestyle

Dad moves into fifth home in leafy, family-friendly neighbourhood

-

Angus Duncan and his family love their neighbourhood so much they’ve moved into their fifth home there.

The family already lived in Ferry Village in Renfrew before buying their new Barratt property on the waterfront.

Angus, 43, a process engineer from Glasgow, recently picked up the keys to the home he shares with sons, Alfie, nine, and Harry, seven, at the new Barratt development, Waterside @ Ferry Village.

The Duncan family selected a Leven house type – a four- bedroom, three-storey, townhouse.

Angus said: “When I heard that Barratt were building here I couldn’t resist taking a look at what was available.

“I have two sons so my priority was to find a property that had a good-sized garden for them to get out and play in.

“When I viewed the Leven, the interior was ticking all of the boxes – great space, high spec and quality finishes.

“But my decision was based on the garden space. The sales team showed me the corner plot, which had a large, landscaped garden and I knew that it would be ideal for the boys as they grow.”

Waterside @ Ferry Village is located on the banks of the River Clyde, with townhouses and apartments overlooking the river.

The new development is ideal for families as it’s enveloped by walking and cycling routes.

Angus added: “It’s really important that the boys are surrounded with lots of green space, have access to the outdoors and have areas to play in.

“Not only have we hit the jackpot here with our large garden, but the development is surrounded by lovely green areas, which means we can get out and about to explore at the weekends.

“For me, the location is so convenient for getting to work. It’s only a 20-minute walk to my office and we have shops, parks and easy access to the city on our doorstep.”

Angus and his family took advantage of Barratt Homes’ popular part-exchange scheme. It allowed them to sell their home to Barratt and, after independent valuations took place, the housebuilder offered full market value. This made for a quick and stress-free sale.

Waterside @ Ferry Village, with two, three and four-bedroom homes, is located in the commuter town of Renfrew, which is handy for Glasgow and within walking distance to Intu Braehead, Intu Soar that hosts a cinema, ski slope and lots of fun activities for families, as well as Braehead shopping centre and retail park.

With the M8 motorway into Glasgow city only a 10-minute drive away, day trips and commutes are not a problem.

Estelle Sykes, sales director, Barratt West Scotland said: “The site at Waterside @ Ferry Village is really popular, leading us to a site sell-out.”
