Gray day for Whitney

Her freedom is thrown into doubt as lawyer struggles with stress at hearing

-

Gray lies to Tiffany about how Whitney is coping behind bars but given that he can hardly cope with the stress of the case, it’s not surprising that his client is also feeling the strain.

Chantelle sees through her husband’s act but all she gets for trying to be supportive is manhandled and shouted at, as Gray admits he’s thinking of dropping Whitney’s case.

Unfortunately for him, his bosses also seem to be taking a keen interest in what has been going on in Walford lately, as they pressure him to get Kush to plead guilty. In Kat’s considered legal opinion, that’s the wrong decision, but she’s given food for thought when Gray admits it could help Whit.

So, when Kush later heads to court, will he take Gray’s advice or plead not guilty?

Either way, by the time of Whitney’s bail hearing, Gray is having to keep a lid on his stress, while the accused is struggling to keep her cool.As Tiffany, Keegan, Jack and Max wait outside to learn her fate, will poor Whitney’s ordeal finally be over? Seeing his sort-of sisterin-law in court isn’t Keegan’s only brush with the law this week. He discovers his flat has been burgled, yet when the police arrive, somehow he’s the one who ends up in handcuffs. Meanwhile, Suki’s lies start to unravel as, following a conversation about doctors, Jean tries to get to the bottom of her ‘treatment’.

The Carters appear to be getting back to normal but Sharon is understandably struggling. Ian’s guilt is also weighing on him – and it’s about to get worse when Dotty hears Dennis’s voicemail... Lola drops a bombshell and Bex prepares to go travelling – but where’s her passport?
