AN ACTRESS who found a new audience as the world’s oldest podcaster has died, aged 101.

BY BEVERLEY LYONS
Scotland’s Janice Forsyth for the podcast Old School.
Ida passed away in a residential care home after living independently until just a few weeks ago.
Her nephew, Trevor Schuster Davis, said: “Ida was always her own person and had so much get-up-and-go.
“She refused to tell anyone her age until she turned 90. She had two sons, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren in Holland and Israel, and was very proud of her family.”
“The funeral will be very small and private. Hopefully a celebration of her life will happen in due course.”
Born in Glasgow in 1918, Ida was the youngest of nine children. Her husband Allan was a doctor who practised in the Gorbals.
