Leaders must Ern their corn
PETERHEAD boss Jim McInally insists Scottish football wouldn’t be shrouded in uncertainty if Ernie Walker was still calling the shots at the SFA.
A civil war has broken out over proposals to end the season early. But McInally reckons Walker, who died in 2011, would have sorted things out.
He said: “In troubled times you look for leadership and Ernie provided that. He would not make decisions to be popular but he would make decisions. That is what is needed just now.”
