Wright or wrong, clubs have to accept decision
TOMMY WRIGHT admits it will be impossible to keep all of Scotland’s clubs happy when it comes to deciding how to finish the season.
Rangers and Hearts have already revealed they will today vote against the SPFL’s plan to end the campaign early.
But whatever is finally decided St Johnstone boss
Wright reckons everyone has to buy into it for the greater good.
Saints could overtake Hibs to claim a top-six place if the SPFL plans are approved today and Wright said: “I don’t envy the clubs making the decision because it’s a very difficult one.
“People want clarity and that is understandable.
“It’s a difficult one. The SPFL board have put it up there and it’s now up to the people running the clubs to decide.
“Whatever that decision is, people will just have to live with it. Getting clarity is the big thing, that’s what everyone wants.
“So if they vote to draw a line under the season now then it will be time to move on.”
St Johnstone have furloughed most of their staff and will reassess the situation in May.
Wright added: “We have deliberately kept six players off the furlough and we will review that every six weeks.
“That allows them to keep doing the things the club are active with in the community. But furloughing was a sensible thing to do.”
