Care home heroes

RE YOUR article on care homes, I would like to praise Guthrie House, Edinburgh, where my 96-year-old mother has been for more than three years.

No visitors have been allowed since before the lockdown. If I telephone to check on mum, I can speak to her if she is awake.

She says, “I’m fine” and “Aye, they’re looking after me”.
