HARTMANNS ARE KEEPING IT REAL

SCOTTISH FAMILY STAR IN NEW TV HOUSEWIVES SHOW

-

Tessa

THE Glasgow-based dynamo is a whirlwind. She set up the Scottish Fashion Awards and was given a CBE in 2016 for her contribution to fashion and textiles.

She and Sascha began their PR agency Hartmann Media in 1996 and she represented the world’s biggest brand names including Ralph Lauren, Swarovski and Louis Vuitton. Tessa, who was the daughter of millionaire industrialist John Fortune Fraser who died last year, started doing marketing and business law at university before working in America and London.

A self-described “eternal hustler”, she managed to get Sir Sean Connery out of retirement to voice an animated film in 2012, Sir Billi. The same year, she became known as Dr Tessa Hartmann after receiving an honorary doctorate from Glasgow Caledonian University. She’s also “glamager” to daughter Tallia in her music career.

Tessa is a fighter who went through surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer in 2017. She has instilled that spirit in her family and has a no-quit attitude which should make for some feisty scenes.

Tessa said: “Setbacks will be part of your everyday world but it’s how you handle them that counts. Women definitely need to jump through more hoops than men to get things done or actioned.

“There is nothing we can’t overcome as women and if we can’t get to the top of the mountain we will darn well sneak through the side door with a lift to the top and serve it with a smile on our face.”

Tessie

BORN Valentina, Tessie is a business development manager on Jersey dealing with private equity and property finance.

While she might look like little sister Tallia, Tessie has carved a career in business although she did voice Bessie Boo in her parents’ animated film Sir Billi.

Born in Glasgow, Tessie didn’t look for a helping hand from her mum and her career began as a press intern in London.

She worked her way up in marketing until two years ago she switched to finance.

That’s not to say Tessie doesn’t like to pose in glamorous clothes in front of expensive houses, on skiing trips or in a bikini on a boat. Because she does.

Tallia Show

SHE’S been on the showbiz radar for the past eight years but Tallia, born Natalya Storm Hartmann in Glasgow, is still just 21. Back in 2012, Tallia was Elton John’s support act at his Falkirk Stadium gig. She landed the job after her dad bumped into Elton and his partner David Furnish in a lift in Hawaii, where they were on a Christmas holiday. At the age of 13, Tallia ran up to David with her demo in an envelope. Elton then called her and invited her to support him in Scotland. He later claimed she had “one of the most impressive soul signatures he’d heard in 20 years.” Tallia, with her wild blonde hair, became something of a style icon as she juggled schoolwork with trying to make it as a singer. So far her biggest claim to fame was dating Brooklyn Beckham in 2014 when they were both 15. It helped her get a gig on Celebs Go Dating but during the show, the son of David and Victoria denied they’d ever been an item. A furious Tallia raged: “You dump me once, three years ago, and now you dump me again.” She released her debut album Teenage Tears aged 19 which she funded via her Instagram influencer clout. She has 473k followers on Insta and has published two Pop Girl books about a teen singer. Last year she auditioned for The X Factor: The Band but was sent home. Undaunted, Tallia is perfect for the voyeuristic TV show. She said: “I love what I do. I would never wish I had another life or want a normal life because this is my life and everything I have dreamed of. “I am going to enjoy every minute.”
