Special 007 Aston Martins are to die for

-

BRITISH icons Aston Martin and James Bond have joined forces to create two exclusive cars to celebrate the forthcoming release of the 25th 007 movie, No Time To Die.

Working with Bond film firm EON Productions, the luxury car maker’s Q division is now offering customers the chance to snap up 007 limited-edition Vantage and DBS Superleggera models.

The Vantage 007 Edition is inspired by the original Aston V8 that made its Bond debut in 1987’s The Living Daylights and also features in the new movie.

Costing from £161,000 and limited to just 100 models, it has a Cumberland Grey paintjob, bespoke mesh grille with chrome bezel and dashed yellow diffuser inspired by the hazard stripes on the film car’s rockets. Special movie-style skis can also be ordered.

Inside, buyers will find obsidian black leather and dark chrome with a variety of design references to the 80s flick – and they can opt for a laser-etched gadget plaque.

The £279,000-plus 007 DBS Superleggera, powered by a 715bhp 5.2-litre V12 engine, will be an even rarer beast, with just 25 being made for the global market.

Its Ceramic Grey exterior features carbonfibre detailing and gloss-black 21in wheels, and the leather-clad cabin with red accents again has subtle 007 branding. No Time To Die comes out in November and customers will start getting the Astons early next year.

Aston Martin creative chief Marek Reichman said: “It is an honour to apply carefully judged 007-inspired styling to our sports cars, which gives our customers the opportunity to own a unique piece of both cinematic and automotive history.”
