Chances are we will Kil it soon

-

GREG KILTIE is confident that if Kilmarnock keep creating chances it will only be a matter of time before they start killing off teams.

It was another afternoon of frustration in the Granite City for Killie. The Ayrshire side created more than their fair share of chances and Kiltie had a couple that he felt he should have done better with.

He said: “We’re disappointed at the way the game went, especially the second half.

“We were on top and we were unfortunate not to take anything away. We had big chances as well with crosses in the box.

“We’re a bit disappointed but just need to move on and focus on the next game.

“We can take confidence from it. It’s difficult away from home up here.

“It’s a good thing to come away disappointed because the performance levels were there and we should have taken something from the game.”

Kiltie is pleased he has forced his way back into Alex Dyer’s team and knows that he has to make sure he stays there.

The attacker said: “It’s not the result that we wanted but it was good to get a start a couple of weeks ago before the international break and to play again today.

“It’s been a long time coming since playing in two games in a row so it’s really good to be back in.”

There were also fans back in at Pittodrie. Although they were all home supporters and not backing Kilmarnock, Kiltie was still happy just to have them in the stadium.

And he hopes it won’t be long before Killie have their own crowd returning to Rugby Park.

Kiltie added: “It’s just nice to get fans back in. It was a bit weird without fans in the ground especially when the season kicked off. You never really get used to playing in an empty stadium. It was good to have them back.”

Kilmarnock hope Kirk Broadfoot’s injury settles and he’ll be fit to face Hamilton after losing the influential defender with a dead leg following Ross McCrorie’s late challenge.º
