singer-songwriter Callum Beattie, with more to be announced.

Gaby added: “Amanda and I will be in the studio, obviously social distanced.

“There’ll be remote cameras because it is a small studio and we can’t have too many people there.

“Everything has been carefully thought about but the most important thing is that the charities will make some money.”

Gaby admitted she’s been impressed by the First Minister’s handling of the crisis and is dismayed at the actions of some in her native London.

Gaby – who has a daughter Libbi-Jack to her first husband, Glaswegian singer-songwriter Colin Peel, and a daughter, Amelie, with second husband, publisher David Osman – said: “I think Nicola Sturgeon has been incredible.

“In London, you see groups of people and wonder why they’re all hugging and kissing.

“I was out the other day with my youngest and we were watching these people in the car park hugging and kissing and saying, ‘Bye’. “We were looking at each other thinking, ‘What are they doing?’” Like most of us, she abides by the rules, hopeful we can get back to normal as quickly as possible. Gaby added: “I’d love to be able to hug and kiss my friends when I see them but we sit outside, we social distance and we wear masks everywhere. There are a lot of people who say it’s a conspiracy who make me so angry.” The presenter co-hosted The Big Breakfast with Chris Evans on Channel 4 from 1992 to 1996. Gaby said: “Chris and I had the most fantastic time and we’re still friends. It was like nothing else. This month it’s 28 years since we started. It feels about two weeks ago.”

She hopes the return of The Big Breakfast with a one-off show next year hosted by Mo Gilligan could fulfill a dream of having her own early evening version.

Gaby said: “My dream show would be an early evening Big Breakfast that’s slightly anarchic with celebrities having fun.

“I don’t find it a problem talking. Just ask my family. They’ll tell you I never shut up.”
