Brief backs suspect in Maddie case
THE lawyer for the prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case flew to Praia da Luz to time walking distances to prove his client did not abduct her.
Friedrich Fuelscher examined the areas around the holiday apartment where the McCann family were staying the night Madeleine disappeared.
He insists Christian Brueckner, 41, in jail for drug smuggling offences, did not take the British three-yearold. He visited the Algarve seaside resort to gather further evidence to back his case.
On May 3, 2007, between 9.10pm and 10pm Madeleine vanished.
Fuelscher said: “The offender had a maximum of three minutes.”
He added: “My client did not commit this crime.”
