Caley’s new boy Kai faces a Covid KO
INVERNESS v COWDENBEATH
RANGERS loanee Kai Kennedy looks certain to miss Caley’s clash with Cowdenbeath after being forced to quarantine.
The winger, 18, was one of the players in close contact with Scotland Under-19 boss manager Billy Stark, who returned a positive Covid-19 test on international duty.
Stark was told to isolate for 10 days and Kennedy faces up to two weeks out if Stark’s result is confirmed.
Caley boss John Robertson said: “We’re waiting on official clarification from the SFA but it would appear that Kai has to self-isolate.
“That is disappointing for us and most importantly it’s disappointing for the boy.
“We have been in contact with Kai who is desperate to get involved with us but it looks like that will be delayed for a few days yet.
“Being a non-testing team, I think that’s the correct way forward.”
