Saints boss hopes goals will flow now
CALLUM DAVIDSON believes a Betfred Cup goals bonanza could bring an end to St Johnstone’s Premiership drought.
The Saints boss watched his side thrash Brechin 7-0 and beat Kelty Hearts 2-1 last week after drawing blanks in their previous four top-flight games.
With a trip to Hamilton on the horizon this weekend Davidson is hoping that hitting the back of the net is now a habit for his players at the top end of the pitch.
He said: “You want your strikers full of confidence and scoring so the Betfred Cup has been great for that.
“Hopefully they realise that they’re doing the right things and getting in the right positions.
“I believe the goals will keep coming but the cup has been good for us.”
