TREVOR CAN’T CAP CALL

-

STUART DALLAS’ own goal denied Trevor Carson a clean sheet in his first cap in two years.

The Motherwell No.1 was thrown in for his sixth game after Bailey Peacock-Farrell was injured in the warm-up.

He kept out Josh King but was beaten in the 67th minute when Dan Ballard missed his header and the ball looped in off Dallas’ arm. Carson, whose side face a Euro play-off against Slovakia next month, said: “Usually we have a man on the back post but they pull you all over the place so we sacrificed that – it’s sod’s law that’s how we lose the goal.

“If you take the week as a whole, the big one was Bosnia and we’ve overcome that, so we can look forward to next month.”
