Stewart’s focused on County future
ROSS STEWART is eager to get back among the goals for Ross County after putting months of transfer speculation behind him.
The Staggies’ prize asset was the subject of several approaches before the transfer window closed.
MK Dons and Rotherham were reportedly among clubs tabling six-figure offers, with County believed to be holding out for at least £1million.
Despite playing well, mostly in a wide role, the goals had dried up for Stewart until Tuesday’s brace beat Arbroath 2-1 in the League Cup group tie.
Now the aim is to begin hitting the net with greater regularity again. Stewart said: “The transfer window is shut now and I’m a Ross County player.
“It doesn’t change anything, my sole focus is still doing well for Ross County. Hopefully I can kick on and help us get results in the league.”
