Two stabbed in street: One man arrested

HORRIFIED neighbours have described the aftermath of an alleged double stabbing in their street.

Police and paramedics raced to the Pleasance in Edinburgh shortly after lunchtime yesterday.

Two men, aged 44 and 35, were rushed to hospital with “serious” injuries.

A third man, aged 44, was later arrested in connection with the incident.

One neighbour said: “I heard a man shout, ‘Help, help, help’, and a neighbour said he saw him covered in blood lying in the road.

Police said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
