Andy’s off on epic walk for brain charity
A GRIEVING husband will try to outdo the Proclaimers by walking 1700 miles in his wife’s memory.
Andy Chalmers, 46, has set off on a virtual walk from John O’ Groats to Land’s End and back to support the Brain Tumour Charity after losing his wife Susan to the disease two years ago.
Andy, from Carnock, near Dunfermline, began his virtual walk on the second anniversary of her death and aims to clock up at least five miles every day on his year-long challenge.
Andy said: “I have been planning it for a while, so it’s great to start counting the steps and miles towards my target.”
